What is an Export Health Certificate?
An Export Health Certificate or more commonly known as an EHC is an official certificate that confirms your POAO consignment meets the health requirements of the destination (importing) country.
It may be in the form of a specific EHC for that country, or it may also be a transit EHC if the consignment is passing through that country (entering and leaving again with the final destination being another country).
The EU is considered all one, so a consignment only needs one EHC to enter the EU to travel to any EU country as long as the passage route does not leave the EU and re-enter.
You will need to be registered as an exporter and apply for an EHC in order to export your POAO consignment.
If you are looking to export any POAO, you will need your goods certified by an Official Veterinarian to enable correct compliance with the importing countries regulations and to ensure an Export Health Certificate accompanies the consignment.
